We've tried to write this in plain English. Legal documents are usually written by lawyers, for lawyers, but a privacy policy you can't understand isn't actually informing you of anything. So if you're a lawyer reading this and wincing at our casual tone — apologies in advance. Everything that needs to be legally correct is legally correct. We just refused to make it boring.

1. Who We Are

This privacy policy applies to Quantum AI Canada and the website quantumaicrypto.ca, along with associated applications and services. We are a Canadian-operated AI auto trading software provider. When this policy uses "we," "us," or "our," it refers to the company. When it uses "you" or "your," it refers to anyone using our website or platform.

2. What Information We Collect

Information You Give Us

When you sign up, contact support, or use the platform, you voluntarily share certain things with us. This typically includes your full name, date of birth, email address, phone number, residential address, government-issued ID (for identity verification, as required by Canadian regulations), and banking or payment details for funding your account.

Information We Collect Automatically

When you visit our website or use the platform, our systems quietly record some technical information. This includes your IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, referring website, pages viewed, time spent on pages, and similar usage data. We don't collect this to be creepy — we collect it because security teams need it to detect fraud, and product teams need it to figure out what's working and what isn't.

Information from Third Parties

We work with partner brokerages, payment processors, and identity verification services. They share certain data with us as part of providing their services — things like transaction confirmations, verification status, and risk flags. We treat all such information with the same care as data you give us directly.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information described above for specific purposes, not for everything we could legally do. In particular:

We do not use your data to train external AI models, sell to data brokers, or perform behavioural advertising targeting outside our own platform. We've never done that. We don't plan to.

4. Who We Share Information With

We share your personal information only with parties who need it to deliver the service you signed up for, or where we're legally required to. Specifically:

We do not sell your personal information to anyone. We do not rent it. We do not trade it. If a third party someday acquires our company, your data would transfer under the same protections this policy provides, and we'd notify you in advance.

5. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

Our website uses cookies. Most websites do. We use them for three things: keeping you signed in, remembering your preferences (like dark mode or language), and understanding how people use our site so we can make it better.

We use a small set of analytics tools to measure traffic and identify bugs. We do not run third-party advertising trackers, social media pixels for retargeting, or behavioural tracking scripts of any kind. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, though doing so may break parts of the platform that depend on session storage.

6. Data Storage and Security

Your data lives on servers operated by reputable cloud providers, primarily within Canadian data centres. We use industry-standard encryption both in transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest (AES-256). Passwords are never stored in plain text — they're hashed with modern hashing algorithms that even our own engineers couldn't reverse.

We also enforce strict internal access controls. Most of our staff cannot view your personal financial information at all. The few who can are bound by confidentiality agreements, undergo regular security training, and access logs are reviewed monthly. We've also commissioned external security audits, and we'll continue to do so on an annual basis.

That said, no system is 100% secure. If we ever experience a data breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you and applicable authorities promptly, as required by Canadian privacy law.

7. Your Rights Under PIPEDA

Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act gives you specific rights regarding your data, and we respect them fully. You have the right to:

To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@quantumaicrypto.ca. We'll respond within 30 days, usually much sooner.

8. Children Under 18

Our platform is not for anyone under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If we discover that we have inadvertently collected such data, we will delete it immediately. If you believe a minor has signed up, please contact us at the privacy email above.

9. Updates to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time, particularly when we add new features or when regulations change. Substantive changes will be announced at least 30 days in advance via email and on this page. Minor edits (typos, clarifications) may be made without notice. The "last updated" date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent revision.

10. Contact for Privacy Concerns

Privacy questions, requests, or complaints can be sent to our Privacy Officer at privacy@quantumaicrypto.ca.

If you're not satisfied with our response, you have the right to escalate the matter to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada at www.priv.gc.ca.

Thanks for reading. We know nobody actually wants to read a privacy policy. But the fact that you got this far suggests you care about how your data is handled, and that's exactly the kind of user we want.
